Role summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an experienced Audit & Compliance Manager to oversee audit, inspection, and compliance activities for Data, Technology & Engineering. This Sr. Principal Analyst role coordinates GxP audits, regulatory inspections, and remediation efforts while serving as liaison between operational teams and auditors in a complex, matrixed organization.

5–8+ years in IT Compliance, Quality, Internal Audit, SOX, or GxP Compliance
Experience supporting audits, inspections, and remediation in regulated environments
Knowledge of GxP, CSV/CSA, 21 CFR Part 11, SOX, NIST SP 800-53, GDPR, and audit methodologies
Experience overseeing contractors and managed service provider operations
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead remediation or risk mitigation strategies
Strong project management skills in matrixed organizations with cross-functional influence
Knowledge of application/system development methodologies and IT Service Management practices

What you'll be doing

Serve as primary DTE liaison for IT audit, inspection, and compliance requests across GxP and regulatory activities
Coordinate audit preparation, evidence collection, stakeholder readiness, and response tracking with business teams and auditors
Track audit findings, CAPAs, and remediation commitments through closure and escalate at-risk deadlines
Oversee compliance metrics dashboard, analyze audit trends, and provide readiness and status reporting to leadership
Drive remediation meetings, promote consistent audit practices across DTE, and identify process improvement opportunities
