Role summary

Sarepta Therapeutics seeks an experienced Director to lead international key opinion leader engagement across neuromuscular diseases. This role requires establishing strategic partnerships globally, generating scientific insights that inform company strategy, and serving as the primary medical liaison to external stakeholders outside the US.

What they're looking for

Advanced degree: MD, MB BCh BAO, MBBS, MBChB, Dr. med., or PharmD; PhD acceptable
Significant clinical, scientific, or medical affairs experience in biotech, pharma, or academic medicine
Extensive Medical Affairs background with national, regional, or global leadership experience
Prior experience as Medical Director, Senior Medical Director, or equivalent leadership role
Strong knowledge of clinical trial design, investigator engagement, and scientific data interpretation
Neuromuscular disease experience preferred; DMD, FSHD, DM1, or SMA knowledge valued
Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging scientific evidence and translate to strategy

What you'll be doing

Develop and execute international KOL engagement strategies across priority disease areas and geographies
Serve as primary medical liaison to international thought leaders, investigators, and academic institutions
Establish and expand strategic relationships with key opinion leaders in DMD and related neuromuscular disorders
Generate actionable insights from external experts and translate into recommendations for medical affairs and clinical development
Lead scientific advisory boards, investigator meetings, congresses, and educational initiatives globally
