Role summary
Azenta seeks a Director, Assistant Corporate Controller to lead and scale the corporate accounting function for a global, publicly traded life sciences company. This role involves managing the monthly closing cycle, overseeing accounting teams, ensuring compliance, and partnering cross-functionally on financial operations and reporting.

- 10+ years accounting/finance leadership in publicly traded company or public accounting firm
- CPA required; public accounting experience required, Big Four preferred
- Experience leading corporate accounting for US publicly traded company with international operations
- Demonstrated success driving process improvements in dynamic, growth environments
- Extensive US GAAP knowledge and strong financial/IT controls and SOX expertise
- Large-scale ERP system experience required (SAP, Oracle); Oracle/Netsuite/OneStream a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and strategic thinking capabilities
What you'll be doing
- Lead and develop high-performing accounting team, promoting continuous improvement culture
- Manage global monthly closing cycle including consolidations and financial reporting oversight
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local requirements, internal policies, and SEC reporting standards
- Provide financial oversight and guidance to divisional accounting teams across operating segments
- Review and enhance financial policies, procedures, controls, and systems aligned with best practices
