Role summary
The Data & AI Product Discovery Designer leads user research and early-stage discovery initiatives to inform product decisions across value, usability, and feasibility. This role partners with product, engineering, analytics, and architecture teams to ensure data and AI solutions are grounded in user insights and business objectives while de-risking development.
What they're looking for
- Minimum 5+ years in UX research, product discovery, product design, or human-centered design
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant education and experience
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Miro, Lovable, or React
- Experience with agile project management tools including ADO, Jira, and Confluence
- Strong research synthesis, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and influence product strategy decisions
- Comfort with ambiguity and problem framing in early-stage discovery
What you'll be doing
- Conduct user interviews, usability studies, contextual research, and validation experiments to de-risk product decisions
- Create and iterate low to mid-fidelity prototypes, sketches, storyboards, and interaction flows for hypothesis testing
- Develop user personas, journey maps, workflow diagrams, and experience models to inform strategy
- Facilitate co-creation sessions with users, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders
- Synthesize research data to identify patterns and produce actionable insights for the product team
