Cencora seeks a Controls Technician III to support automated distribution center operations in Romeoville, Illinois. What they're looking for
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Facilities/Plant Management preferred
- Four years of related, progressively responsible experience with strong electrical background
- Proficiency with PLC programming, HMI configuration, and electrical schematic interpretation
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems up to 600 volts
- Experience with frequency drives, servo drives, sensors, encoders, and control system design
- Capability to read CAD layouts and create technical drawings and cost estimates
What you'll be doing
- Design, assemble, program, and diagnose MHE controls systems for automated equipment
- Diagnose and repair materials handling equipment and picking system errors in the distribution center
- Develop and oversee preventative maintenance plans and equipment modifications
- Assess equipment efficiency and define necessary system upgrades
- Maintain CMMS/EAM system records and manage spare parts inventory
Compensation$2,500 sign-on bonus
