Role summary

Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager for the San Francisco territory to develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned health systems. The role involves managing relationships with clinical and administrative decision-makers, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving appropriate utilization of cardiovascular products while ensuring compliance.

3+ years of account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
Cardiology experience including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes highly preferred
Knowledge of hospital committee structure, P&T processes, and reimbursement mechanisms
Understanding of Medicare, CMS policies, and payor systems
Advanced degree (MPH, MBA, PharmD) and 7+ years healthcare sales experience preferred

What you'll be doing

Assess business environment in assigned accounts and execute strategies aligned to cardiovascular business unit objectives
Develop comprehensive account plans addressing institutional needs, access barriers, and utilization challenges
Engage with clinical and administrative opinion leaders including cardiologists, pharmacists, and P&T committees
Coordinate pull-through initiatives across field teams and monitor account performance and market dynamics
Provide field intelligence and recommendations to analytics, brand, and market access teams
