Role summary

Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager to lead strategic initiatives across assigned health system accounts in the Riverside and Irvine, California region. The role involves developing account plans, managing relationships with clinical and pharmacy decision-makers, and coordinating field teams to drive appropriate utilization of Amgen cardiovascular products.

Doctorate degree and 2+ years sales/account management experience; or Master's degree and 4+ years experience; or Bachelor's degree and 6+ years experience
3+ years account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
Cardiology experience including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes highly preferred
Knowledge of hospital committee structures, P&T processes, DRG, and reimbursement mechanisms
Understanding of Medicare, government agencies, CMS policies, and payor systems
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with sales teams and resolve payor-related issues
Advanced degree (MPH, MBA, PharmD) with 7+ years healthcare sales/marketing experience preferred

What you'll be doing

Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned to cardiovascular business strategy and institutional needs
Serve as strategic lead for assigned key accounts, executing compliant strategies to engage priority providers
Meet regularly with opinion leaders in cardiology, lipidology, pharmacy, and P&T committees to drive product utilization
Coordinate with field teams including sales representatives, district managers, and reimbursement specialists on pull-through initiatives
Monitor account performance, market dynamics, and provide field intelligence to analytics, brand, and market access teams
