Role summary
Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager to lead strategic initiatives across assigned health systems in North Carolina. The role focuses on developing relationships with key decision-makers, executing compliant account plans, and driving utilization of cardiovascular products across inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years sales or account management experience
- Master's degree with 4+ years sales or account management experience, or Doctorate with 2+ years experience
- 3+ years account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
- Cardiology experience including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes highly preferred
- Knowledge of hospital committee structures, P&T processes, and CMS policies
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement, DRG processes, and payor systems
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned to cardiovascular business strategy and institutional needs
- Engage with opinion leaders in cardiology, lipidology, pharmacy, and P&T committees to build strategic partnerships
- Monitor account performance and market dynamics; identify barriers and coordinate pull-through initiatives across field teams
- Ensure institutional drug availability across inpatient and ambulatory care settings with compliant messaging
- Coordinate with access specialists and internal teams to support portfolio utilization and appropriate access
