Role summary

Merck seeks an experienced leader to head Quantitative Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics for oncology, directing pharmacology strategy across the pipeline using advanced analytics, modeling, and data-driven approaches to inform safety, efficacy, dosing, and regulatory decisions.

What they're looking for

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacometrics, statistics, or related field
At least 15 years drug development experience with minimum 5 years in oncology industry
Proven track record of model-informed drug development strategies in oncology with publications or presentations
Experience authoring and defending regulatory filings (NDA/MAA) for multiple modalities independently
Demonstrated expertise in population PK/PKPD analyses using standard pharmacometric software
Comprehensive understanding of global oncology regulatory expectations and dose strategy development
Strong team leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and scientific communication abilities

What you'll be doing

Provide strategic leadership and scientific oversight for QP2 oncology organization and priorities
Shape program design, dose and regimen strategy, and regulatory interactions across pipeline
Supervise and mentor scientists while building a modern quantitative operating model
Lead dose optimization, exposure-response analysis, and model-informed trial design across modalities
Represent QP2 in cross-functional teams, governance discussions, portfolio reviews, and business development
