Role summary
Beckman Coulter Life Sciences seeks an Automation Sales Representative to prospect, scope, and close laboratory automation solutions for pharmaceutical, synthetic biology, and clinical customers across Washington, Western Canada, and Utah. The role combines territory sales management with customer relationship building and internal collaboration.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science or equivalent
- 3+ years sales experience in North America biopharma, academia, or life sciences markets
- Deep knowledge of North American biopharma, academic, government, and life sciences sectors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with solid business acumen
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel 25%
- Laboratory automation exposure highly desirable; clinical, pharmaceutical, or synthetic biology lab experience preferred
What you'll be doing
- Prospect, scope, and close laboratory automation solutions with field application specialists and project managers
- Understand and grow market share within assigned territory across multiple regions
- Represent organization at customer negotiations, trade shows, seminars, and conferences
- Deliver territory sales quota for hardware and consumables while driving continuous improvement
- Gather and communicate Voice of the Customer feedback to inform product and business decisions
