Role summary
Merck's 12-week summer internship focuses on research operations, process improvement, and AI tool evaluation within non-interventional research management. The intern will document workflows, pilot digital platforms, analyze operational metrics, and present findings to leadership.

What you'll be doing
- Document and evaluate existing research execution and budget workflows to identify bottlenecks and redundancies
- Partner with team members to pilot, test, and evaluate AI-enhanced tools and specialized research platforms
- Collect, analyze, and visualize operational metrics to measure impact and improvements from new processes
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and document best practices for complex study initiatives
- Present results and strategic recommendations from primary projects to RIBE and NIRM leadership
