Role summary
Merck's Global Clinical Trial Operations team seeks an epidemiology operations intern for a 10-12 week summer program starting May or June 2027. The intern will support clinical trial initiatives, develop process improvements, and create tools to enhance epidemiology trial conduct across the organization.

- Currently enrolled full-time in BS/BA or higher degree in business, project management, computer technology, or science
- Completed at least two years of collegiate study by June 2027
- Available to work full-time for 10-12 weeks beginning May or June 2027
- Pursuing or considering pursuit of a Master of Public Health degree (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Provide project management support for strategic initiatives and existing epidemiology trials
- Assist efforts to simplify and standardize global clinical trial processes
- Develop new tools and enhance existing tools for epidemiology trial conduct
- Generate process maps and performance metrics to track operational efficiency
- Deliver a capstone presentation summarizing internship objectives and accomplishments
