Role summary
A 12-week internship in Discovery Oncology within the Research and Development division. Interns will design and execute cell-based and biochemical assays to characterize therapeutic targets, working alongside a scientific mentor and cross-functional teams.
What they're looking for
- Currently enrolled in BS/BA in biological sciences or related discipline
- Available full-time for up to 12 weeks starting May or June 2027
- Experience with basic lab procedures: pipetting, solution preparation, plate assays
- Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data analysis
- Strong interest in cancer research and oncology drug discovery
What you'll be doing
- Design, execute, interpret, and report results of in vitro experiments
- Develop, execute, and troubleshoot new cell-based assays
- Communicate data clearly to teams and stakeholders
- Review and critically interpret published literature to guide research direction
- Collaborate with colleagues in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and genetics
