Role summary
11-12 week summer 2027 internship in Chemical Engineering Research & Development focusing on small molecule and antibody-drug-conjugate active pharmaceutical ingredient process development. Interns will conduct hands-on laboratory research, participate in departmental activities, and gain exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing scales.

- Currently pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Biochemical Engineering; target graduation Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
- Available for employment 11-12 weeks beginning May or June 2027
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Lab-based research or pilot plant/manufacturing facility experience in chemical engineering-related area
- Strong grasp of chemical engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of organic chemistry and small molecule API synthesis unit operations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and self-initiative abilities
What you'll be doing
- Conduct chemical engineering research project under technical mentor guidance
- Maintain accurate electronic notebook records and execute experimental setups safely
- Interpret experimental results and contribute to process development objectives
- Present research findings and conclusions to the entire department
- Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, and facility tours across manufacturing sites
