This policy explains the standards RoleLantern may use to protect applicants, employers, recruiters, and the integrity of job board data.
1. Platform Integrity Principles
Real jobs: Posts should represent bona fide roles with a legitimate intent to hire.
Truthful data: Job titles, companies, locations, compensation, work arrangements, credentials, and application paths should be accurate and current.
User safety: Posts and messages should not expose users to scams, harassment, unlawful requests, or unnecessary sensitive data collection.
Applicant control: Job seekers should understand when they are applying, who may receive their information, and how their data may be used.
Employer accountability: Posting entities remain responsible for their job posts, hiring process, compliance, applicant data, and third-party tools.
Transparent moderation: RoleLantern may remove, limit, label, or investigate content based on risk, quality, legality, user reports, or platform signals.
2. Data Quality Actions
RoleLantern may take one or more of the following actions to improve data integrity:
Require additional fields before a job can be published;
Require employer verification, company domain verification, payment verification, authorization proof, or role ownership proof;
Require salary range, benefits, work location, remote restrictions, and employment type fields for certain roles or jurisdictions;
Label jobs as sponsored, verified, third-party, confidential, remote, hybrid, contract, employer-posted, recruiter-posted, or externally sourced;
Suppress jobs from certain geographies if required information is missing;
Flag potentially stale, duplicate, broad, misleading, or low-quality postings;
Remove scam-like language, suspicious links, malware, phishing, or off-platform payment requests;
Investigate reports from users, employers, regulators, or partners.
3. Reports and Complaints
Users may report suspected scams, expired jobs, discriminatory posts, inaccurate jobs, unauthorized posts, privacy concerns, intellectual property concerns, or policy violations to support@rolelantern.com. We may review reports at our discretion and may take action without providing details about our investigation or outcome.
4. No Verification Guarantee
Any verification badge, quality label, data correction, moderation action, or trust signal is informational only. It does not guarantee that a job, employer, recruiter, candidate, credential, salary, application link, or offer is accurate, lawful, safe, available, or legitimate.
