This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the RoleLantern Terms of Use and applies to everyone who accesses or uses the Platform, including job seekers, employers, recruiters, staffing firms, agencies, and other users. RoleLantern is operated by RoleLantern LLC (Texas, USA). By using the Platform you agree to this AUP.
1. General expectations
You must use the Platform lawfully, honestly, and in a manner that respects other users, their privacy, and the integrity of the Platform. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
2. Prohibited activities
You may not, and may not permit anyone acting on your behalf to:
- Post or transmit content that is false, misleading, fraudulent, deceptive, or intended to scam, phish, or defraud users;
- Post job listings that are fake, expired, duplicated to manipulate ranking, or created mainly to harvest resumes, collect fees from applicants, sell unrelated products or services, or route applicants into marketing, training, investment, franchising, or business-opportunity programs;
- Post or transmit content that is unlawful, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that violates the rights of others, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- Express or imply, in any job advertisement or communication, a preference, limitation, specification, or discouragement based on a legally protected characteristic;
- Upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt, damage, disable, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform, its systems, or its users;
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, index, cache, frame, mirror, or bulk-download content or personal data from the Platform except as expressly authorized in writing by RoleLantern;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, authentication, rate-limiting, access controls, robots or crawler directives, or usage limits;
- Access another user’s account, or create accounts using false identities, automated means, shared credentials, or credentials belonging to another person or organization;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, or copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Platform except as expressly permitted;
- Use applicant, candidate, resume, or profile data for any purpose other than a legitimate, lawful recruiting or hiring purpose consistent with the Employer Data Use & Applicant Privacy Addendum;
- Send spam, chain messages, or unsolicited commercial communications through the Platform, or use contact information obtained through the Platform for purposes unrelated to a specific role;
- Misrepresent your identity, your employer, your authority to post, or your affiliation with any person or organization.
3. Reporting violations
If you believe content or conduct on the Platform violates this AUP, you may report it to support@rolelantern.com. We may review reports at our discretion and may take action without disclosing the details or outcome of any investigation.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove, restrict, relabel, de-index, suspend, or refuse content or accounts; limit or revoke access; preserve and disclose information where permitted or required by law; and report activity to appropriate authorities. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account and, where lawful, loss of paid services without refund. Our rights under this AUP are in addition to all other rights and remedies available to us.
5. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions may be sent to support@rolelantern.com.
