Role summary
Amgen seeks a US HCP Marketing Director to lead commercial strategy for UPLIZNA (inebilizumab) in IgG4-related disease, a rare immune-mediated disorder. The director will shape treatment paradigms, develop integrated marketing strategies across multiple specialties, and build high-performing teams to support product launch and market leadership.
What they're looking for
- Doctorate degree and 4 years marketing experience, OR Master's degree and 7 years commercial experience, OR Bachelor's degree and 9 years marketing experience
- Demonstrated success leading pharmaceutical or biotechnology product launches with strategy and performance management
- Experience launching first-in-class therapies or new indications in high unmet need areas
- Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills with ability to lead through ambiguity
- Experience building, hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing marketing teams
- Significant US HCP marketing experience with integrated commercial strategy development
- Preferred: rare disease, autoimmune, or severe inflammatory disease background in rheumatology and/or gastroenterology
What you'll be doing
- Lead integrated US HCP marketing strategy for UPLIZNA in IgG4-RD, translating priorities into objectives and execution plans
- Hold accountability for commercial performance, identifying growth opportunities, competitive dynamics, and business risks
- Lead market-shaping initiatives to build disease awareness and accelerate diagnosis, referral, and treatment uptake across multiple specialties
- Guide HCP segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, and field engagement strategy across rheumatology, gastroenterology, nephrology, and neurology
- Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing marketing team; oversee agency partners and promotional budgets with strong financial stewardship
