Role summary
Staff Software Engineer responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines and integration solutions that transform healthcare datasets into enterprise data assets on the IQVIA Scion Platform. The role requires expertise in cloud technologies, data engineering, and healthcare domain knowledge to deliver scalable, production-ready data products.

- 5-10 years of large-scale data integration and data movement experience
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional and offshore teams as development lead
- Hands-on cloud architecture experience with Snowflake and SQL
- Programming proficiency in Spark, Scala, Python, and Linux shell scripting
- Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT frameworks for high-volume datasets
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor
- Healthcare domain experience with claims, pharmacy, EMR, or patient-level data (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with external data suppliers and internal stakeholders to understand data models and business requirements
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and provision healthcare data from cloud and legacy sources
- Develop and implement ETL/ELT frameworks and data quality validation procedures for healthcare datasets
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to design solutions and resolve complex data integration challenges
- Lead Agile development activities, including sprint planning and technical design reviews
