Role summary

Danaher seeks a Staff DevOps Automation Engineer to design and operate cloud infrastructure supporting AI initiatives across the organization. This remote role in the CIO Office involves building CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, platform operations, and mentoring engineering teams.

What they're looking for

5+ years software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience with data/AI/ML infrastructure work
CS/Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
Deep hands-on expertise with AWS or Azure; familiarity with multi-cloud environments
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi), CI/CD tools, and containerization/orchestration
Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling
Production systems operations experience: monitoring, observability, incident response, reliability practices
Proven ability to set technical direction at platform scale and mentor engineers

What you'll be doing

Design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with embedded governance and compliance
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, self-service platforms, and resource provisioning frameworks for data scientists and engineers
Establish platform operations including observability, monitoring, alerting, and reliability practices to ensure system stability
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, providing recommendations and implementing modern tooling
Collaborate across teams to translate requirements into solutions, mentor junior engineers, and foster technical excellence

Compensation$180,000-$220,000 base, eligible for bonus/incentive pay
