Role summary
Element Biosciences seeks an experienced Staff Commodity Manager to develop and execute strategic sourcing roadmaps for critical materials and components across the product lifecycle. This role combines commodity expertise with supplier development, cost optimization, and supply chain risk management, reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing at the San Diego headquarters.

What you'll be doing
- Develop multi-year strategic sourcing roadmaps for assigned commodity families aligned with product timelines and cost targets
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding for direct materials and manufacturing partners
- Conduct total-landed-cost modeling and drive cost avoidance initiatives across commodity families
- Develop supplier scorecards, lead quarterly business reviews, and track sourcing KPIs
- Manage supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, and supply continuity commitments
