Role summary
Senior Specialist in Cybersecurity Engineering at Merck responsible for securing enterprise platforms through implementation of security controls, automation, and continuous risk reduction. - Fluent in modern AI technologies and practical enterprise use cases
- Hands-on experience implementing security controls in PaaS, SaaS, or enterprise platforms
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native technologies
- Experience with identity security, security automation, logging, monitoring, vulnerability remediation
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
What you'll be doing
- Engineer and maintain security controls across strategic enterprise platforms and SaaS/PaaS services
- Conduct security assessments, control validation, and drive compliance readiness activities
- Develop automation, controls-as-code, and reusable security patterns for operational efficiency
- Monitor platform security posture, investigate gaps, and drive remediation of findings
- Partner with platform teams to improve resilience, secure adoption, and operational procedures
