Role summary
DePuy Synthes seeks a Senior Manager of Safety and Process Safety Management to provide strategic leadership across global environmental health, safety, and PSM programs. The role ensures regulatory compliance, drives safety culture, and integrates risk-based practices into manufacturing operations across multiple locations.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- 8–10 years progressive Environmental Health & Safety experience
- Demonstrated leadership managing complex safety programs at site or organizational level
- Ability to lead investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action programs
- Experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams on safety performance
- Preferred: PSM implementation support, pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing background
- Preferred: CSP, CIH, or equivalent safety certifications
What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage global Safety and Process Safety Management programs aligned with standards and regulations
- Ensure compliance with global and local safety and environmental regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and management systems
- Partner with site leadership to identify and mitigate safety risks proactively
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions; ensure corrective action closure
