Role summary
Amgen seeks a senior data platform lead to architect and deliver next-generation data platform capabilities, primarily on the Databricks platform. - Demonstrated ability to establish platform standards, cluster policies, and cost management frameworks
- SQL and relational/dimensional data modeling knowledge for governance and integrations
- Experience with core AWS services: EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, RDS, Redshift
What you'll be doing
- Lead delivery of data platform capabilities aligned with next-generation architecture patterns and enterprise standards
- Design and productionize reusable platform frameworks, accelerators, and reference implementations for delivery teams
- Enable data governance and metadata integration between Databricks and Collibra enterprise platform
- Build tooling and automation for proactive governance, cost optimization, and best-practice enforcement
- Drive user enablement and adoption initiatives including workshops, onboarding, and best-practice sharing
