Role summary
Medtronic seeks a senior compliance manager to lead development and execution of the company's global trade compliance program across import, export control, and sanctions areas. The role oversees enterprise policies, training, and controls while advising senior leaders on trade-related risks and mitigation strategies from locations in Minnesota, Washington D.C., or other U.S. sites.

- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years global trade compliance experience in large, complex organizations
- Or advanced degree with 5+ years substantive experience in import compliance, export controls, or sanctions
- Demonstrated responsibility for investigations, disclosures, and compliance program governance
- Healthcare, medical device, or life sciences industry experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders globally
- Executive-level written and oral communication skills
- Sound judgment and ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment
What you'll be doing
- Design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise global trade compliance program across import, export, and sanctions areas
- Maintain policies, procedures, training, and governance mechanisms aligned with current legal requirements and business risks
- Lead cross-functional identification and mitigation of material trade compliance risks in partnership with operations and business leaders
- Establish monitoring controls, remediation plans, and metrics to strengthen program effectiveness and audit readiness
- Provide strategic trade compliance guidance for business development activities and investigations
