Role summary
iRhythm seeks an experienced Senior Clinical Research Scientist to lead clinical study design, analysis, and evidence dissemination within its Scientific Affairs organization. The role directs scientific aspects of clinical research projects supporting cardiac health innovation, working remotely across the United States.
What they're looking for
- Advanced degree in biomedical science or health-related field (MD or PhD preferred)
- Ten or more years of clinical science or clinical development experience in medical device, academic medical centers, or research organizations
- Experience with heart rhythm disorders, atrial fibrillation, cardiac electrophysiology, or cardiology
- Substantive experience with clinical trial design and observational study design including health services research
- Strong writing skills for clinical study reports, conference abstracts, manuscripts, and regulatory documentation
- Demonstrated knowledge of GCP, FDA, EU regulations, and biostatistical approaches including causal inference
- Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
What you'll be doing
- Direct project-level scientific aspects of clinical research including study design, analysis, and dissemination
- Lead development of clinical study protocols and analysis plans for prospective trials and targeted analyses of existing datasets
- Drive clinical data analysis and interpretation in collaboration with biostatistics and data management teams
- Lead evidence dissemination through scientific writing, conference abstracts, journal manuscripts, and steering committee collaboration
- Partner with clinical research operations to ensure timely study execution, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance
