Role summary

Senior Associate Software Engineer supporting Amgen's Global Supply Chain Data & Analytics team. Designs and maintains full-stack production components serving supply chain strategy, planning, and operations. Translates business requirements into secure, scalable enterprise software while collaborating across product, architecture, data, and platform teams.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
5-9 years of software engineering experience with production full-stack or component ownership
Strong JavaScript or TypeScript proficiency with modern frontend framework experience, preferably React
Backend development expertise using Python/FastAPI, Node.js, Java, C#, or equivalent
Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting RESTful APIs and microservice architectures
Strong SQL and relational database skills (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
Git-based development, code review, automated testing, CI/CD pipeline, and cloud operations experience

What you'll be doing

Own defined production components across frontend, backend, API, database, and support layers independently
Design and build responsive web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and scalable backend services
Develop secure, versioned APIs with validation, authentication, authorization, error handling, and appropriate semantics
Implement comprehensive testing across unit, integration, API, UI, accessibility, and security layers
Monitor production applications, troubleshoot issues, and manage incident response and root-cause analysis
