Role summary
Amgen seeks a Specialty or Senior Specialty Representative for its Washington D.C. territory to serve as the primary contact with healthcare providers. What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years sales experience
- For Senior role: Bachelor's degree with 3 years sales/clinical healthcare experience, or equivalent with Associate's/high school diploma
- Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry sales experience preferred
- Product or hospital sales background in specialty areas such as oncology, dermatology, or rheumatology preferred
- Established territory relationships and local market knowledge preferred
- Competency in planning, business knowledge, communication, results-driving, and relationship-building
What you'll be doing
- Deliver clinical product knowledge and communicate benefits to medical professionals
- Achieve territory sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement with branded messaging
- Develop and manage customer accounts, customize interactions, resolve reimbursement issues
- Analyze territory performance, provide marketing feedback, and develop territory plans with District Manager
- Foster collaboration with colleagues and sustain brand passion with patient impact focus
