Role summary
Amgen seeks a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative for cardiovascular sales in the Wilmington, Delaware territory. The role involves promoting Amgen's products to medical professionals, managing customer relationships, and driving territory sales while supporting patient outcomes.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years of sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years of sales experience
- For Senior role: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales and/or clinical healthcare experience, or equivalent combinations
- Three or more years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience preferred
- Product or hospital sales experience in cardiovascular, oncology, nephrology, rheumatology, or related specialties preferred
- Local market knowledge and established relationships in Wilmington territory preferred
- Proficiency in planning, business acumen, communicating with impact, and relationship building
What you'll be doing
- Deliver clinical product knowledge and benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate product utilization
- Execute sales strategy through branded messaging, educational programs, and in-person or virtual engagement to achieve territory targets
- Develop and manage customer accounts, customize interactions based on needs, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain contracts
- Analyze territory performance, provide marketing feedback, and develop territory plans with District Manager
- Demonstrate passion for products, maintain brand reputation, and sustain focus on patient impact throughout sales cycle
