Role summary
Amgen seeks a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative for cardiovascular sales in the Mobile, Alabama territory (Gulfport, Biloxi, Pascagoula, Spanish Fort). The role involves delivering clinical product knowledge to healthcare providers, executing territory sales strategy, and managing customer relationships to drive appropriate product utilization.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or High school diploma with 6 years sales experience
- For Senior level: Bachelor's degree with 3 years sales and/or healthcare clinical experience, or equivalent with Associate's/High school diploma
- Three or more years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience preferred
- Product or hospital sales experience in specialty areas such as cardiology, oncology, nephrology, or rheumatology
- Local market knowledge and established territory relationships preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration preferred
- Strong planning, communication, relationship-building, and results-driven competencies
What you'll be doing
- Deliver comprehensive clinical knowledge of cardiovascular products to medical professionals and optimize product utilization
- Achieve territory sales targets through branded messaging, medical education programs, and in-person and virtual engagement
- Develop and manage customer relationships by addressing needs, ensuring product access, and resolving reimbursement issues
- Analyze sales activity effectiveness, provide marketing feedback, and collaborate on territory planning with District Manager
- Sustain passion for Amgen products while maintaining focus on patient impact throughout sales cycle
