Role summary
Amgen seeks a Specialty or Senior Specialty Representative for cardiovascular sales in West Virginia, covering Huntington, Morgantown, Parkersburg, and Martinsville. What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years sales experience
- For Senior role: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years sales and/or healthcare clinical experience
- Preferred: 3+ years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry experience
- Preferred: Sales background in specialty areas such as cardiology, oncology, or nephrology
- Adaptability with planning, business knowledge, communication, results-driven focus, and relationship building
- Local market knowledge and established territory relationships preferred
What you'll be doing
- Deliver clinical product knowledge to medical professionals and communicate benefits to drive appropriate product utilization
- Execute branded sales messaging, conduct educational programs, and achieve sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
- Develop and manage account relationships, customize discussions based on customer needs, and resolve reimbursement issues
- Analyze territory performance, provide feedback on marketing strategy, and develop territory plans with District Manager
- Share best practices with colleagues and demonstrate sustained passion for products while maintaining patient impact focus
