Role summary
Amgen seeks a Specialty or Senior Specialty Representative to promote inflammation and nephrology products in the Los Angeles area. What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree, or associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years sales experience
- 1–3 years pharmaceutical, healthcare, or clinical sales experience preferred
- Experience in specialty sales areas including oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, or related therapeutic specialties
- Strong communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills with ability to influence diverse audiences
- Demonstrated sales leadership, resilience, and adaptability in fast-paced competitive environments
- Local market knowledge of Greater Los Angeles and Pasadena area preferred
What you'll be doing
- Deliver clinical product knowledge and communicate benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate product utilization
- Execute branded sales messages and conduct medical education programs to achieve territory sales targets
- Develop and manage key account relationships, address reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
- Analyze sales effectiveness and territory performance; partner with District Manager to develop territory plans
- Model Amgen values and maintain focus on patient outcomes throughout entire sales cycle
