Role summary
Amgen seeks a Specialist SAP Architect to design and implement SAP S/4HANA modules for production planning, quality management, and manufacturing processes across global biotech sites. The role requires deep expertise in life sciences regulatory compliance and integration with manufacturing systems.
What they're looking for
- Master's degree with 1–3 years SAP S/4HANA implementation experience, OR Bachelor's with 3–5 years, OR Diploma with 7–9 years
- Hands-on expertise in SAP PP, PP-PI, and QM modules with minimum two years S/4HANA experience
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GxP, FDA validation, and regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
- End-to-end QM process experience including inspection planning, batch management, and audit handling
- Proven ability to design solutions, perform root cause analysis, and create detailed compliance documentation
- SAP Certified Application Associate in S/4HANA PP-PI and QM (preferred ACP certification)
- Experience integrating with EWM, LIMS, MES, and non-SAP systems
What you'll be doing
- Design and configure SAP S/4HANA PP, PP-PI, and QM modules aligned with clinical manufacturing best practices
- Support integration between QM, MM, WM/EWM, PM modules and manufacturing execution systems
- Lead architectural reviews to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies for manufacturing processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation including specifications, functional designs, test cases, and compliance reports
- Participate in Agile sprint planning and deliver innovations leveraging AI/ML to enhance manufacturing operations
