Role summary
ICON seeks a Senior Statistical Analyst to support real-world evidence and observational research projects across multiple European locations. The role encompasses study design, SAS programming, statistical analysis, and client communication throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates should hold a Master's or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative field with substantial healthcare data experience.

- Advanced SAS programming experience including datasets, analyses, macros, and tables
- Significant pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or Real World Evidence industry experience
- Strong statistical methodology knowledge applied to healthcare and observational data
- Experience developing Statistical Analysis Plans and analysis specifications
- Proficiency with observational study design, epidemiology, or real-world data sources
- Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
What you'll be doing
- Support study conception, design, protocol development for observational research projects
- Write statistical methods sections, develop analysis plans, perform power calculations
- Create derived datasets, develop SAS programs, macros, tables, listings, and figures
- Conduct statistical analyses including regression, survival, repeated measures, and advanced modelling
- Communicate with clients and cross-functional teams regarding deliverables and statistical requirements
