Role summary
Merck's Animal Health R&D division seeks a Senior Specialist in Biostatistics to develop and validate statistical programs for clinical and research data analysis. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, regulatory-compliant outputs in the veterinary pharmaceutical space.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- At least 5 years of statistical programming experience in pharma, biotech, or CRO
- Strong proficiency in SAS, R, and Excel
- Understanding of data structures, statistical methods, and analysis workflows
- Experience leading programming activities
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements from CVM, EMA, or USDA
- Familiarity with Electronic Data Capture systems such as Prelude or Medrio (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Develop and validate statistical programs using SAS and R for data analysis and reporting
- Create analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures according to study requirements
- Support data cleaning, transformation, quality control, and validation processes
- Collaborate with statisticians, data managers, clinical and regulatory teams on deliverables
- Maintain documentation of programming code, processes, and contribute to process improvements
