Role summary

What they're looking for
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years production software experience
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or similar backend languages with microservices experience
- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native SaaS platforms
- Demonstrated experience integrating AI/ML or LLM services into production applications
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and service communication
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and REST API frameworks like FastAPI or Spring Boot
- Strong computer science fundamentals and ability to implement ML algorithms beyond high-level frameworks
What you'll be doing
- Lead design and development of cloud-native microservices backend systems for Bio-Techne products
- Build and deploy AI-powered services including LLM-based assistants, recommendations, and automation workflows
- Architect and implement RAG pipelines over scientific and operational data
- Establish MLOps practices for model versioning, evaluation, monitoring, and retraining
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical standards for code quality and system architecture
