Role summary
Eurofins seeks a Senior Scientist to advance solid-form development for complex pharmaceutical molecules, including PROTACs and molecular glues. The role involves characterization, crystallization techniques, and collaboration across formulation and chemistry teams in Groton, Connecticut.

- Master's degree with 2+ years experience or PhD in pharmaceutical science, chemistry, or chemical engineering
- Expertise in solid-state characterization techniques including XRPD, PLM, DSC, and TGA
- Experience with infrared spectroscopy methods and/or solid-state NMR
- Background solving materials science problems for large molecules using experimental approaches
- Knowledge of amorphous solid dispersion strategies and polymorph screening design
- Understanding of physical, analytical, and organic chemistry fundamentals
- Mathematical modeling experience preferred; strong communication and organizational skills required
What you'll be doing
- Perform advanced solid-state characterization of beyond Rule-of-5 pharmaceutical molecules
- Apply crystallization techniques to recrystallize complex compounds and assess polymorphs
- Support multidisciplinary teams in designing and executing polymorph, salt, and co-crystal screening
- Collaborate with medicinal chemistry and formulation groups to develop solid-form selection strategies
- Solve scientific problems using contemporary materials science experimental techniques
