Role summary

Gilead Sciences seeks a Senior Director to lead real-world evidence strategy for inflammation therapeutics across development and commercialization stages. This role manages observational research teams, partners cross-functionally with clinical and regulatory stakeholders, and ensures robust epidemiologic methods support product lifecycles. The position reports to the Executive Director of RWE for the Inflammation therapeutic area.

Expertise in real-world evidence and real-world data for regulatory purposes
Advanced knowledge of epidemiologic study design and observational research methods
Leadership experience managing teams of research scientists
Strong cross-functional collaboration and external stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred: PhD or Master's in Epidemiology with 12+ years post-graduation experience
Preferred: minimum 6 years biopharmaceutical industry experience

What you'll be doing

Develop and execute global RWE strategy for inflammation product development and regulatory submissions
Lead team of observational research scientists to deliver disease natural history, safety studies, and comparative effectiveness research
Serve as RWE subject matter expert on product development teams and advise on methodological approaches
Oversee epidemiological content in regulatory documents across global agencies
Communicate RWE results across product lifecycle to internal and external stakeholders
