Role summary
Benchling seeks a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes. The role focuses on personnel-related accounting areas including commissions, benefits, and stock compensation, with opportunities to expand across the accounting function.

What you'll be doing
- Prepare and post journal entries with supporting calculations for personnel costs, commissions, bonuses, and stock-based compensation
- Create account analyses and reconciliation schedules for balance sheet and expense accounts
- Assist in financial statement preparation including footnote disclosures for assigned areas
- Participate in audit activities including schedule preparation and auditor coordination
- Collaborate on accounting process design, improvement initiatives, and internal control documentation
