Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field with cancer epi/genomics focus and 0-3 years experience, or Master's degree with 4-6 years experience
Deep expertise in high-throughput DNA sequence analysis, mapping, alignment, and variant calling workflows
Demonstrated experience developing machine learning models including GLMs, kernel methods, tree-based algorithms, and neural networks on biological data
Proficiency in Python and Linux command-line tools; strong experience with NumPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, and statistical methods
Familiarity with public genomics databases such as TCGA, COSMIC, or OncoKB
Strong quantitative reasoning, scientific rigor, and ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams with computational and experimental scientists

What you'll be doing

Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models driving algorithm design for cancer detection in MRD settings
Execute end-to-end research analyses from conception through implementation, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation
Bridge wet-lab experimental design and computational analysis while maintaining quality control across multi-cohort, multi-vendor sequencing data
Communicate model performance and research findings to stakeholders; establish code quality and reproducibility standards
