Role summary
Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting for European legal entities. The role involves month-end closings, statutory reporting, internal control compliance, and process improvement initiatives within the Finance Service Center based in Buccinasco, Italy.

- Degree in Economics, Taxation, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years financial accounting experience with general ledger responsibility
- International corporate accounting environment experience preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken
- SAP S/4HANA ERP system experience is a plus
- US GAAP and SOX compliance knowledge preferred
- Spanish tax regulations familiarity a plus
What you'll be doing
- Lead month-end closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements for corporate reporting and yearly local statutory accounts
- Ensure financial processes comply with internal control rules and regulations
- Support daily bookkeeping in accounts payable, receivables, and treasury functions
- Contribute to finance process improvement and automation initiatives
Compensation€40,000–€50,000 gross annual salary plus 5% bonus on base salary
