  • Bachelor's in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or Biomedical Sciences plus 5+ years molecular diagnostics/genomics experience, or PhD plus 2+ years
  • 3+ years of experience with Next-Generation Sequencing workflows and technologies
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques: DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, library preparation, sequencing methods
  • Familiarity with CLIA, CAP, NYS, FDA, or ISO-regulated laboratory environments
  • Ability to prepare detailed technical documentation and validation reports
  • Project management experience including planning, tracking timelines, and coordination

What you'll be doing

  • Develop, optimize, and implement molecular diagnostic assays utilizing NGS technologies
  • Design and execute assay verification and validation studies for germline and somatic applications
  • Analyze NGS assay performance data, sequencing metrics, and validation study results
  • Prepare technical documentation including validation protocols, SOPs, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with Bioinformatics, Clinical Laboratory, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs on cross-functional projects
