Role summary
AbCellera seeks motivated Bachelor's-level interns for a 12-month scientific position starting January 2027 in Vancouver. Interns will support real-world antibody drug discovery projects across biology, protein science, translational science, process development, or quality control functions, working alongside experienced mentors.
What they're looking for
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, or related field
- Previous hands-on experience working in a wet laboratory environment
- Available for interviews on October 15-16, 2026
- Proficiency with laboratory techniques and instrumentation (UPLC, flow cytometry, ELISA, liquid handlers)
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Critical thinking, curiosity about antibody drug discovery, and problem-solving orientation
What you'll be doing
- Execute laboratory workflows including cell isolation, enrichment protocols, functional assays, and sample analysis depending on assigned department
- Support high-throughput screening, protein purification, DNA cloning, or in vivo disease model studies as appropriate to role
- Prepare reagents, maintain inventories, label samples, and perform routine instrument operations to support team deliverables
- Contribute to development and optimization of new assays while performing established protocols
- Maintain standard operating procedures and identify process improvement opportunities within assigned laboratory
