Role summary
Benchling seeks a Senior Revenue Accountant to manage revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and Order-to-Cash functions in a growth-stage SaaS environment. This individual contributor role focuses on technical accounting ownership, including ASC 606 analysis, consumption-based product accounting, and supporting the annual audit.

- BS/BA in Accounting with strong GAAP and financial statement knowledge
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- 7+ years progressive revenue accounting experience in SaaS/software companies
- Deep hands-on expertise with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
- AI fluency and comfort applying AI tools to accounting workflows
What you'll be doing
- Own deferred revenue process end-to-end including schedules, reconciliations, and analytics
- Manage allowance for credit losses methodology and audit deliverables with cross-functional input
- Perform technical ASC 606 analysis for contract modifications and lead SSP analyses
- Establish revenue recognition for consumption-based and AI partnership arrangements
- Own professional services revenue accounting and drive process optimization
