Role summary

- Ability to assess and communicate species-specific behavioral observations using professional terminology
- Experience with standard laboratory equipment such as scales, measures, and pipetting preferred
- AALAS Certification preferred but not required
What you'll be doing
- Conduct animal research studies evaluating drug safety, effectiveness, and toxicity in early development phases
- Perform husbandry duties, dosing techniques, and blood collection on small and large animals
- Collect biological samples and perform basic measurements including body weight, food consumption, temperature, and blood pressure
- Monitor animal behavior for changes and report concerns to supervisor
- Perform medical imaging and maintain AAALAC compliance standards for animal care and welfare
Compensation$22/hr, with potential $.50 increase after training period based on performance
