Johnson & Johnson seeks graduate engineering students for a Fall 2026 co-op in the Research & Development Leadership Development Program (RDLDP). The eight-month program introduces participants to R&D platforms while developing technical skills, business acumen, and cross-functional leadership competencies in MedTech innovation.

What they're looking for

Currently enrolled graduate student in engineering program, on track to earn master's degree by June 2028
Preferred majors: electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automation
Understanding of ethical considerations and responsible AI practices
Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and adopt new AI tools and ways of working
Minimum GPA of 3.3 strongly preferred
Valid leadership experience and previous J&J R&D internship experience highly preferred
Ability to relocate within U.S. as required for program rotations

What you'll be doing

Participate in exposure to various R&D platforms and technical development rotations
Collaborate with technical teams to identify AI opportunities and evaluate feasibility
Attend in-depth classroom training and R&D leadership development sessions
Apply new technical skills and business knowledge to support innovative product development

Compensation$30/hr–$61/hr depending on major and experience level; overtime eligible; medical benefits and sick time available
