Role summary
Bio-Techne seeks a field-based reagent sales specialist to drive consultative sales of proteins, antibodies, and assay kits to pharma, government, and academic accounts in the Boston area. The role involves territory management, customer relationship building, and application of scientific knowledge to support research and diagnostics.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in biological, medical, or life science field
- Minimum 3 years of life sciences sales experience
- Experience selling research reagents or life science consumables strongly preferred
- Consultative selling experience in a scientific environment required
- Knowledge of reagents, laboratory techniques, and pharmaceutical development methods
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, MS Office suite, and communication platforms
- Valid driver's license and ability to visit customers 4 days per week
What you'll be doing
- Achieve sales targets through consultative selling methods with diverse customer segments
- Conduct field sales visits in Boston-area territory and maintain existing and new accounts
- Identify and recommend appropriate product solutions based on customer needs and scientific applications
- Use Salesforce to manage scheduling, forecasting, and document customer interactions
- Present product portfolios and communicate value propositions to scientists at all organizational levels
