Role summary
ICON seeks a Project Specialist to support global clinical study teams across multiple regions in a remote role. The position involves budget management, recruitment tracking, vendor oversight, regulatory compliance, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders in clinical research operations.

- Life science degree
- Minimum 1 year clinical trial experience in clinical research
- Fluent English language proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with eTMF and CTMS systems
- Excellent stakeholder management and written/oral communication skills
- Global project management or cross-functional team support experience (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Manage budgets, task orders, and expenses while tracking consistency across systems and escalating issues
- Serve as primary contact for recruitment progress, data completeness, compliance, and regulatory approvals
- Oversee vendor deliverables and third-party activities to ensure timely completion
- Develop and maintain study management plans including monitoring, vendor management, and risk management plans
- Set up tracking systems and tools, monitor study conduct, identify and resolve risks and discrepancies
