Role summary
Amgen seeks a Project Manager to coordinate process development activities across pipeline programs in pre-clinical through life-cycle management phases. The role integrates schedules, manages risks, and facilitates cross-functional alignment at the Thousand Oaks, California campus.

- Doctorate degree, or Master's plus 3 years project management experience, or Bachelor's plus 5 years experience, or equivalent
- Direct people management or team/program leadership experience
- 10+ years pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry experience (preferred)
- Direct CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, Controls) experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and SharePoint
- Cross-functional collaboration and strong communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with process development priorities and business strategy
- Support pre-pivotal, pivotal, and life-cycle management phase programs with internal and external teams
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate project status to stakeholders
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment by integrating interdependent activities and managing critical path visibility
- Provide meeting management, documentation, and decision-making support using established frameworks
