Role summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a cost program management specialist to support the mechanical category team in managing cost improvement initiatives, project execution, and performance reporting. The role coordinates cross-functional teams, tracks project pipelines, and provides analytical support to ensure cost objectives are met.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, or project/program management
- Experience managing project portfolios or cost-improvement pipelines
- Strong analytical skills with financial and procurement data interpretation capability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; procurement or ERP systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
What you'll be doing
- Maintain and track mechanical category cost improvement pipeline with accurate project status and milestone monitoring
- Facilitate project reviews and identify pipeline gaps, risks, and reporting inconsistencies
- Provide weekly and monthly visibility reports on cost performance, pipeline health, and key risks
- Coordinate category inputs for AOP and STRAP planning; consolidate forecasts and project data
- Support cross-functional collaboration with Category Management, Finance, DPP, and Operations teams
