Role summary
Becton Dickinson seeks a Procedural Specialist to provide clinical education and technical support for Advanced Reconstruction & Repair surgical products across a defined territory. The role involves training healthcare professionals, coordinating case support, managing customer relationships, and tracking market trends within the surgical device space.
What they're looking for
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; or 6+ years relevant work experience with high school diploma
- 3-5 years operating room or procedural environment experience
- Surgical and procedural knowledge with medical/surgical terminology and anatomy understanding
- Current credentialing or certification in respective clinical discipline
- Advanced knowledge of general or plastic surgery; hernia space experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerBI, Salesforce, and Showpad
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel 60-80% with overnight stays
What you'll be doing
- Educate physicians and hospital staff on AR&R products through case support and in-service training programs
- Coordinate logistics and execution of customer training and technical support activities with field sales teams
- Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, hospital staff, and facilities to identify new product opportunities
- Monitor and report market trends affecting product sales, service, and development
- Complete procedural reports, expense reports, and complaint documentation per established procedures
